Nasdaq Futures Opening Update as on 10 January 2018

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Friday, January 10.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,653.00 with a loss of -0.51% percent or –34.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 25,295.00  with a loss of -0.31% percent or -78.00 point.The Dow Futures are trading at 6,658.75 with a loss of -0.42% percent or -28.25 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 23,788.20 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -61.79 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,073.72  for up  with +0.20% percent or  +62.31 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,421.83 for up with +0.23% percent or +7.93 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,366.42 with a loss of  -0.22% percent or +76.77 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,723.22 with a loss of -0.10% percent or -7.80 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,292.44 with a loss of -0.70% percent or  -93.15 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,510.10 with a loss of -0.25% percent or -13.84 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 398.76  with a loss of  -0.34% percent or  -1.41 point.

Wednesday’s Factors and Events

Lennar Corp. (LEN.B) revealed earnings for fourth quarter that dropped from last year.

The company said its earnings totaled $309.59 million, or $1.29 per share. This was down from $313.45 million, or $1.3 per share, in last year’s fourth quarter.Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.48 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.1% to $3.79 billion. This was up from $3.38 billion last year.

The S&P 500 closed at 2,751.29 for up with +0.13% percent or  +3.58 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 7,163.58 for up with +0.09% percent or  +6.19 point.
