Nasdaq Futures Opening Update as on 08 March 2018

U.S. stock futures are mixed in pre-market trading for Thursday, March 08.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,967.25  for up with +0.25% percent or +17.50 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,728.50 for up with +0.01%  percent or +0.25 point.The Dow Futures are trading at 24,792.00  with a loss of -0.12% percent or -31.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,368.07 for up  with  +0.54% percent or  +115.35 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 30,690.29 for up with +1.63% percent or  +493.37 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,288.41  for up with  +0.51% percent or +16.74 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,253.37 for up with +0.67% percent or  +220.28  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,167.09 for up with +0.13% percent or  +9.25 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,222.33  with a loss of -0.19% percent or -23.03 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,211.63  for up with +0.46% percent or +23.81 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 373.66 for up with +0.26% percent or +0.97 point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

Pegasystems Inc would launch full-fledged sales operations in India, which has emerged as a “relevant” market with growth potential for the NASDAQ-listed technology firm, said a company official.

A formal announcement in this regard is expected shortly, Managing Director of Pegasystems India Suman Reddy told PTI.

The US-headquartered CRM and BPM software company, which has completed ten years in India, currently has two development centres in the country with a total headcount of 1,500 — Hyderabad (1,100) and Bengaluru (400).

 On the sales front, the parent company was focused on the Fortune 500 segment where it’s “entrenched” with global revenues expected to hit the USD 1 billion mark next year, he said.

U.S. market were mixed on Wednesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 24,801.36  with a loss of  -0.33% percent or  -82.76 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,726.80  with a loss of -0.05% percent or -1.32 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 7,396.65 for up with +0.33% percent or  +24.64  point.
