Nasdaq Futures Opening Update as on 26 February 2018

U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Monday, February 26. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,920.75 for up with +0.16% percent or +11.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,758.25  for up with +0.35% percent or +9.50 point.The Dow Futures are trading at 25,470.00 for up  with +0.62% percent or +160.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,153.63  for up with +1.19% percent or  +260.85 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 31,506.16 for up with +0.76% percent or +238.99 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,329.57 for up with +1.23% percent or +40.55 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,385.84 for up with +0.71% percent or  +243.69  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,266.68  for up with +0.31% percent or  +22.27 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,553.35 for up with +0.56% percent or  +69.56 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,346.27 for up with +0.54% percent or +28.90 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 383.01 for up with +0.47% percent or +1.81 point.

Monday’s Factors and Events

Nasdaq Inc. ( NDAQ ) said it is relocating its global headquarters from downtown Manhattan to its current Nasdaq MarketSite location at The Durst Organization’s4 Times Square.

Nasdaq stated that the 10th floor will be home to a state-of-the-art event space as an extension of the Nasdaq MarketSite and feature a 2,100 square foot outdoor terrace overlooking Times Square, above the world-famous Nasdaq Tower, for Nasdaq clients and prospects with the capacity to host more than 400 people for corporate events. The 15-year lease for 145,000 square feet, includes an extension of the current 24,000 square foot MarketSite lease.

The three-year MarketSite expansion and relocation initiative will commence construction this summer and is slated for completion in December 2021, with phased move-ins beginning in spring 2019.

Friday’s Activity

U.S. market were higher on Friday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 25,309.99 for up with +1.39% percent or +347.51 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,747.30 for up with +1.60% percent or +43.34 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 7,337.39 for up with +1.77% percent or 127.31 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,549.19 for up with +1.25% percent or +19.20 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 946.55  for up with +1.24% percent or +11.63 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,904.23 for up with +1.22% percent or +22.95 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at  1,215.35 for up with +1.59% percent or +18.98 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,621.74 for up with +1.54% percent or  +24.63 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,520.21  for up with +1.57% percent or +23.43 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 25,309.99  for up with +1.39% percent or  +347.51 point.
