Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,555.89 with a loss of –0.44% percent or –107.61 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,564.60 up with +0.80% percent or +28.30  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 59,491.89  up with +0.13% percent or +78.62 point at 12:15 PM.For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,108.16 with 1.14% percent or +80.06  point. THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The U.K. economy grew by 5.5% in the second quarter, official data revealed, outstripping a previous estimate of 4.8% GDP growth.

French consumer spending rose by 1% in August from the previous month, after falling 2.4% in July. A Reuters poll had forecast a rise a 0.1%.
