U.S. stock higher in pre-market trading for Jan  20.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 11,339.6 with +0.39% percent or +43.9 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 33,080.7 with +0.11% percent or +36.1 point..The S&P 500 Futures is  trading at 3,906.60 with +0.20% percent or +7.70 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 26,491.43 with +0.33% percent or +86.20 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 21,895.13 with 1.13% percent or +244.15 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,259.01 with 0.58% percent or +18.73 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 60,986.11 with 0.21% percent or +127.68 point at 12:15 PM.For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,747.29 with a loss of -1.07% percent or ?83.41 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 6,951.87 with 1.86% percent or ?131.52  point.Germany’s DAX closed at 14,920.36 with a loss of -1.72% percent or ??261.44 point.

 

 

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The U.K.’s Office for National Statistics said the largest downward contribution to the change “came from transport (particularly motor fuels), clothing and footwear, and recreation and culture, with rising prices in restaurants and hotels, and food and non-alcoholic beverages making the largest partially offsettingupward contributions.
