U.S. stock futures lower  in pre-market trading for , January 29.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,693.50  with a loss of -0.12% percent or -8.25 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 24,475.00 up with +0.01% percent or +2.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,641.38  with a loss of -0.02% percent or -0.62 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,  Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,664.64  up with +0.076% percent or +15.64 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,506.28  with a loss of -0.26% percent or -70.68 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,594.25 with a loss of -0.10% percent or -2.72 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,595.18  with a loss of -0.17% percent or -61.52 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 6,838.30 UP with +1.35% percent or +91.20 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,224.87 up with +0.13% percent or +14.56 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 4,919.56  up with +0.63% percent or +30.99 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 356.97  up with +0.73% percent or +2.51  point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

The fixed-income moves came after fresh data out on Monday showed Chinese December exports and imports dropping unexpectedly. These figures deepened concerns of a slowdown in the world’s second-largest economy.

At the same time, the divisions between Democrats and Republicans over a border wall continue, meaning there is no end in sight for the re-opening of the U.S. government. The longest ever shutdown in U.S. history is among the top worries for money managers.
